Why is the DD so far behind in reporting news stories? The Sac Bee had the final days at Grafton School in the Tuesday edition. And, 2 Sacramento news stations had coverage on Tuesday evening at 5:00 & 6:00 PM. How disappointing that a Woodland newspaper can't even cover a story that has hurt several people in Yolo County, while Sacramento media has it published way ahead of the DD. I guess Jim Smith has other priorities for the paper???

I think closing Grafton School is the stupidest thing the school board has ever done. To close the only school in a small town and then bus the students to the outskirts of Woodland to another already small and crowded school. I think the school board was thinking with what they sit on,. I know that many of the stidents have made arrangements to attend Robbins and Yuba City schools. Well Woodland Unified School District just lost more money.

Hay formerwoodlander:

Pay attention more. The Disappointment ran a Grafton story in Monday's paper. Before other Sactown media.

I agree with, woodlandneighbor! Let's close a school down where there are already kids living and move them to a school out in the country. I understand that Plainfield is a great school but it it the school that should've been targerted to be closed. It's too bad politics are involved. WJSD just lost another family!!!
