It's been a back-and-forth, "will-they-wont-they?" process for many months as the Line Mountain School Board considers the future of the Dalmatia and Leck Kill elementary schools.

A displeased Line Mountain resident warned school board members Tuesday night that the taxpayers won't be putting up with the potential closings of Leck Kill and Dalmatia elementary schools.

An idea by Corey Gross and Shaun Keegan to sell Christmas trees this year almost got chopped down.

Corin Leigh Klingman, a 2008 graduate of Line Mountain Junior-Senior High School, earned a diploma in nursing from Schuylkill Health School of Nursing in August.

The six candidates seeking five seats on the Shamokin Area School Board have plenty of issues to address if elected, the largest of which is an estimated $5.5 million deficit next year that will likely result in more budget cuts.
