Most pit bulls are breed to be mean and if they once attack someone they will do it again and the dog should be put down!
Their should be laws to protect the innocent dogs and people but for those who abuse the dog to be mean need to be punished as well as the dog involved!

I would have to agree with both of yaas, while Pitbulls being very attractive to the world but not really they should be dealt with on an individuai basis as people in society are somtimes just as viscious, how does this sound to yaas?

(1) Pit bulls are not bred to bed mean. As a breed they are eager to please and must be MADE mean by being viciously beaten and hurt. The owners are to blame, not the breed.

(2) Statistically, there are more people attacked and bitten by German Shepherds than any other breed. Not too many years ago the breed to be feared was the Doberman.

(3) My ex-husband used to be a meter reader for the power company. The only time he was ever bitten in someone's yard (and he had confronted many different breeds) was by a miniature poodle!

It most certainly is the owner of the dog who is responsible for that animal's reaction to people and other dogs. If it has been taught to be vicious, it will attack. I know. I owned a pit bull for almost 15 years and he was the sweetest, most loving dog I've ever owned. All five of my grandchildren played with him and most learned to walk by hanging on to him. At one time, while in the kitchen, I heard him whining as if in pain. When I went to him, my 2-year-old grandson was with him, holding on to the dog's scrotum. The poor animal was in pain but never snapped or bit the child. He just stood there and cried for help. A vicious breed? I know he wasn't.

Oops. Sorry for the misspelling. The first sentence above should read: Pit bulls are not bred to be mean.

the problem with pit bulls isnt that their any more likely to bite than other dogs, but when they do they can do far more damage than other dogs.that being said, its undenable that many of the idiots among us have to have the meanest baddest dog in the naborhood

Donkeyman is accurate. Pit bulls do have some of the most powerful jaw muscles in the canine kingdom and can lock their jaws to the point where you might need a tire iron to break the hold. That is why they were considered ideal for bear baiting and arena fighting---both bloody sports which were encouraged and developed by some sick individuals. Remember that football star who had dozens of pit bulls and who actually financed such fighting? He was rightfully put in prison and of the dozens of dogs rescued from him, all but three or four were rehabilitated and became great family pets---proving that man is still the most vicious of all species. Why do some men thrive on such blood sports? As a woman, I just don't get it!

Daily Horoscope for December 3

Leo

Life seems a little bleak today, but it's important to remain as positive as you can. This is simply one of those days when everything gets on top of you, making you feel weary. If you do have something specific and urgent to worry about, it's far better to take some constructive action, even if it needs a lot of courage, than to brood and fret.
