Best wishes for the recovery of those injured in the accident.

On a side note, to the guy who advocated putting the newbies in the back, most safety instructors recommend putting them in the middle. Experienced riders can scout and spot hazards up front; newbies follow them; more experienced riders stay in back to watch for any problems the newbies may have.

To the poster who complained about the bikes riding close together, it's a compromise. Too far apart, individual bikes are easier for car drivers to fail to notice, and risk of collision with cars goes up. Too close together, and avoidance maneuvers may be impossible. It's a balancing act between the two risks.

To the guy who said bikes are second class citizens on the roads, what manual are you reading? By the way, if you refer to interstates, all non-military vehicles are second class citizens, since the interstate system was developed under Eisenhower for the rapid deployment of military personnel and supplies.

Agreed, some of them think they own the road. Roads were built for cars and trucks. Two wheeled vehicles should remember that they are second rate citizens when it comes to our roads, especially the highways.

MAD & LEAH, I am hispanic or Rican if that is the new way to put it out. If all of them were Hispanics then they got what they deserved. Now, if at least one was not then you guys were out of hand in your remarks. Even in the movie "Dirty Dozen" there were thugs of all colors. Make sure you ask God for forgiveness and continue to drive safely.
Kissimme used to be a redneck town, its now predominately Puerto Ricans who dont understand english very well, even most of the billboards are in spanish. If someone states that its not racism its the truth!

The problem is that gasoline is too cheap. I am looking forward for $15.00/gallon gas so that many of you posting those stupid comments will have no choice than ride a bicycle to your $7.00/hr jobs. The roads will be better and there will be no need for road expansion.

The injured bikers were members of the Outlaw motorcycle group, a family member said.

Witnesses described the scene as something like a demolition derby.

Nine of the bikers were injured, four critically, police said.

The driver of a Hyundai sedan, Tom Romeo, apparently suffered a seizure and veered into oncoming traffic. Orlando channel 6

I happen to know a couple of the guys and yes they were outlaws. One guy got his leg amputated from knee down, another had a heart attack, another broke his leg and shattered his ankle, and another 2 are in surgery now. They were on their way to a funeral for another brother. Thats why they were out so early!!!! I can't beleive all the heartless people out there!!!!! These peoples lives just changed out of the blue.

Have a heart a pray for them......

I hope they were wearing their helmets. Florida's law stating they do not have to is a foolish one.
No matter what the cause, say a prayer for those involved.

I believe that Outlaw group is the same group that supports the Sunnyside Childrens shelter. I bet they do more for charity than most of the 'haters' who have been posting here. My thoughts are with them and their families.

Don't feel sorry for those negative posters, not for one second. They are nothing but losers.(To put it nicely) They are the lowest of the low. And that is a compliment to them. They are jealous of people who have real lives. They search the web and look for tragedies such as this so that they can hide behind their computers trying to spice up their own meaningless lives by posting their vile, demented, sick and hurtful comments that are painful to the victims and to their families. They have no conscience. They love to be hurtful and hateful. They don't care how tragic something is. Sometimes the more tragic the better they like it. They are envious of real men and women who have real lives. So you are just WASTING your PITY on those SICKOS. For Example,The other day they were joking and making sick remarks about the young man who lost his arm to the alligator. That's how sick they are. AND, They probably even love negative attention like this.
Thank you for saying it like it is. I couldn't agree more. My thoughts are with the injured and their families.

The comments on this blog are amazing. Prayers for the injured bikers. No one deserves some of the severe injuries suffered. While some of you may not agree with motorcycles as a hobby, it is the right of others to engage in the hobbies of their choosing. That is why we live in America. People do not deserve to die because of a tragic accident (and this was an accident for the bikers....the other driver had a seizure and plower into them. The bikers weren't driving dangerously.) The bikers may not approve of your hobby, like being a jacka$$ on a blog. However, in America, you still have the right to do so.

Prayers for the recovery of the injured bikers.

And no, I don't ride a motorcycle, I am just a person who can understand that others have the right to live how they want under our Constitution.

The only thing I have to say is...be thankful that some of idiots are able to hide behind your computers. Based on some of these comments, you should be afraid the Outlaws don't find your IP address and find you. Then you won't think it is such a laughing matter at their expense. They would teach you a lesson in humility!

Thoughts are with you brothers!
