It has been shown time and again that it is better to have independent septic systems than to concentrate sewage into one central facility, particularly on that is located right next to a major river where one upset can contaminate all the water to Hover Dam.

Please elaborate and reference the studies that you have read that state that septics are better for the community and the environment. The majority of the septic owners do not read their owners manual and do not do not perform regular operation and maintenance. Septics are designed based on the number of rooms in a home and the number of people living at the residence for it to function properly. There are a lot of septics that fail due to either friends or family tapping into the system, it was not designed to handle the extra flow. This sewer project would benefit the community and the environment.

Kirtland, Facts are Facts, the issues you speak of in Kirtland are regulatory. Since Kirtland is not incorporated, your regulatory authority is San Juan County. If you cannot depend on the County to properly regulate your decentralized sewage system, then I would suggest that Kirtland incorporate and establish their own regulatory authority.
Why you think that the City of Farmington and its citizens should be strapped with the incremental cost of processing sewage from Kirtland is beyond me, and the majority of Farmington tax payers. Besides Farmington (lacking the authority) cannot make San Juan County residences in Kirtland connect (Avg cost $4,000+) to their centralized sewage system.
Thus, the residence of Kirtland can look forward to being Annexed into Farmington if the insanity continues.

That's great. Now I don't have to worry about seeing a neighborhood person drive to the river's edge so they could crap. That's not healthy.

Daily Horoscope for December 9

Leo

You're really on the ball today so there's no danger of anyone tricking you or fobbing you off with lame excuses. If you suspect that a loved one is hiding something from you, you'll want to question them in a lot of detail. That's all very well but try not to turn it into the third degree, nor to make them feel hounded or bullied by your desire to know what's going on.
