Storm knocks out power; forecast to improve by Friday

The first winter storm of the season left several inches of snow in Farmington and knocked out power for several hours for almost 3,400 utility customers in parts of west Farmington and Kirtland.

I got every bit of five inches at my house close to Farmington High School on Tuesday. It is annoying that the weather radar from NOAA or the Albuquerque News Stations never show any participation over Farmington as it occurs including this snow, except for the worst thunderstorms.

This is because there is NO Doppler Radar covering our part of the country. We aren't considered to have enough people to support I suppose...
