What we know is that gas prices will escalate again at the first opportunity. At the very least, we should be drilling for our own vast resources of oil, and stop paying all those billions to other countries for their oil. We should supply ourselves and keep the jobs and taxe revenue here. We will continue to need oil for the foreseeable future. It's used in many, many products besides gasoline.
