Fire destroys Second Chance Animal Shelter in Killeen

The Centex Humane Society's Second Chance Animal Shelter in Killeen, Texas, suffered a terrible loss his past weekend when smoke from an early morning fire killed a third of the shelter's residents - 15 dogs and nearly 100 cats.

Very sorry to hear about the fire at the animal shelter. I am an animal lover and can sympathize with your loss. I hope the donation I sent will help with rebuilding or supplies for the animals that survived, whatever it is needed for I am glad to help in the way I can.

That is so sad! I love animals! I wish I could help out with the animals, when I had a change! I can't bear to think about it! I hope it is an accident and not on purpose!
