Chemical spills at Akron Water Treatment Plant in Franklin Township

The Portage County HAZMAT team responded Saturday to a spill of 10,000 gallons of aluminum chlorohydrate at the Akron Water Treatment Plant on Ravenna Road in Franklin Township just after 9 p.m. Two employees at the plant were transported to Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna with "very, very minor injuries," said Capt.
