As the election season ramps up, people interested in running for public office will begin filing candidacy papers on Monday at noon.

Kaleb Gabril McDonald, 23, of 156 Barret St., Rockingham, is charged with voluntary manslaughter after attempting to break up an argument at Club P3 at 416 East Broad Avenue, Rockingham, according to Major Billy Kelly of the Rockingham Police Department.
