Fire investigators have not yet determined the cause of a blaze that heavily damaged the Denton County Cowboy Church near Ponder on Saturday morning.

Deputies responded to the 5000 block of U.S. Highway 377 in the Krugerville area early Sunday to reports of stabbings.

Instead of sleeping in or studying, Jacqueline Camareno spent her Saturday morning digging holes - and digging every minute of it.

Jim Terry, a senior deputy with the Denton County Fire Marshal's Office, said he expects the church's main building is a "total loss." Officials who arrived at the scene saw some flames on the building's northwest corner and found heavy smoke engulfing the church's interior.
