About 40 parents and patrons from the Juniata area attended a public meeting here Monday to question district administrators and board members about the future of the elementary system.

The plan, which differs from a proposal by the Adams Central Board of Education, would preserve and update the Wallace and Juniata buildings; close the Ayr, Tri-View and District 15 buildings; and build a new elementary close to the existing Tri-View Elementary site.

Students at Juniata Elementary School were shopping Tuesday morning for Christmas gifts, but they had recently rasied enough funds to give a big gift to kindergarten student AJ Olshanki.

Following the results of a failed bond issue Tuesday, Adams Central patrons on both sides of the issue say they're unhappy with the school district's Plan B. "I was sad, disappointed.
