Co-defendants, Shana Ewing, 38, of Marion, Richard "Shane" Spurgeon, 37, of Murphysboro, Robert Shreve Jr., 22, of Creal Springs, Ambre "Amber" Harmon, 35, of Carterville, and Heather Ashmore, 35, of Johnston City are being held without bond until February 14th.

Leonard Phillips, 96, formerly of Metropolis, Illinois, passed away at 4:45 p.m., Saturday, January 7, 2012, at INOVA Loudoun Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Leesburg, Va.

Marjorie E. Bolen, 92, of West Frankfort, passed away at 8:46 p.m. Friday, Dec. 23, 2011, at the Frankfort Healthcare Center in West Frankfort.

According to Sheriff Bennie Vick, deputies got a call around 9 a.m. of a burglary in progress at a home on Collins Road, west of Johnston City.

Friends and family have come together to raise money for a Williamson County girl battling cancer.
