One of five Republicans vying for a spot on the November ballot to fill longtime Wood County Commissioner Alvie Perkins' former seat was arrested four times in the 1990s for fights, making threats, and, in one case, breaking a car window outside a bar.

Elmwood schools closed due to power outage

JERRY CITY, OH Students in the Elmwood district, in Jerry City, Ohio were supposed to have school on a two hour delay schedule Tuesday, but a power outage has closed schools throughout the district.
