Jemison officer honored in state memorial service
Officer Donald Joshua Newman of the Jemison Police Department was one of four fallen law enforcement officers honored at a memorial service in Montgomery on Friday, May 11.
Most of us are familiar with the tireless work of the Shelby County Humane Society and other similar groups, such as Sanctuary Animal Rescue in Alabaster and Joe Jackson's Dog World located in Jemison.
