Authorities say a Chilton County man is charged with arson after three mobile homes burned in the trailer community where he lives.

Mayor Eddie Reed announced in a Jemison council meeting Feb. 6 that the city has submitted information to the Alabama Department of Transportation in an attempt to receive funding for a project to repave County Road 42 East in Jemison.

Park Manager Gerald Arrington's efforts to have the blue, state-issued "Attractions" signs placed near Interstate 65 Exit 219 in Jemison may finally pay off.

"As far as I know, all power has been restored," Haigler said. "The only reason that someone's power may not be restored would be if the power box pulled away from the house." The town has started cleaning up the roads.

No injuries or damages were reported in Jemison and Thorsby following the storms that moved through Chilton County early Monday morning.

The Chilton County Commission could have altered the composition of the county's 911 board but decided not to-perhaps a vote of confidence for a group that has 911 on a successful path.
