A research and policy group aimed at improving teacher quality is suing to get access to course outlines at the University of Wisconsin's schools of education.

By Karyn Spory Union staff writer JEFFERSON - Following a split vote on the newest Highway Department facility study, tensions were high Tuesday during the Jefferson County Highway Committee meeting.

Fanando Thomas was charged with two counts of attempted first-degree intentional homicide, and one count each of first-degree recklessly endangering safety, possession of a firearm by a fel on and a misdemeanor charge of carrying a concealed weapon, for the early-morning shooting at the Rox Sports Bar and Grill.

River's Edge, which is currently located at 843 Whitewater Ave., was devastated by the record-setting flood of 2008.
