JEFFERSON, Iowa - The Greene County Medical Center in Jefferson is getting $20 million in federal government loans to help expand and renovate the 75-year-old hospital.

A PEDESTRIAN GATE on Windsor Blvd. is among James O'Fallon's local projects. Years ago James O'Fallon was a chemist working for Pepsi-Cola when an acting friend asked him to help out on a carpentry job.

Despite receiving over $100,000 in corporate PAC contributions, Rep. Steve King claimed earlier this month that, "I don't have any corporate contributions into my campaign." King made the remarks during a town hall meeting on April 6 in Jefferson, Iowa.

An idea that began a year ago is moving closer to realization following a discussion during the March meeting of the Emmetsburg Community School District Board of Directors.
