Jefferson County brings hidden Civil War stories to light

Jefferson County staked its spot on the state's Civil War Trails today with three markers commemorating the bloody battles that crisscrossed the county from 1863-1864. "For 145 years, the stories of what happened in Jefferson County lay hidden," said Bob Jarnagin, county historian.
