Police are investigating whether alcohol was a factor in the death of a Jamaica Beach man whose car left the road, struck a utility pole and rolled over early Monday, Galveston police said.

Joined by other officers from Jamaica Beach, a quantity of marijuana and equipment used to grow the weed was seized.
