A man accused of causing an alcohol-related crash on Interstate 8 in Jacumba, killing his 47-year-old passenger, was scheduled to be arraigned Thursday.

Sunday, December 20, 2009 at 5:38 p.m. JACUMBA - One person has been killed and another injured when a white sedan drove off Interstate 8, went down a steep embankment and landed upside down on its roof, according to a California Highway Patrol Web site.

Authorities released the name Monday of a 47-year-old man killed in a weekend car crash on Interstate 8 in Jacumba.

The California Highway Patrol in east San Diego County says a passenger vehicle went off westbound Interstate 8 and rolled down an embankment west of Jacumba at around 3:42 in the afternoon.
