Matthew Britting, 19, of Lotus Road, Irving was charged Nov. 28 with unlawful possession of marijuana following a vehicle stop on Route 5. He was reportedly found with a pipe containing marijuana and a small baggie with approximately 2.5 grams of marijuana.

Driver treated after car careens 200 feet off road

A Dunkirk man was taken to Lake Shore Hospital, Irving, after his car left Route 322 in the Town of Villenova about 4:15 p. m. Sunday and careened 200 feet off the pavement, stopping in a resident's front yard, the Chautauqua County sheriff's office reports.
