Prostitution sting nets arrests

The West Virginia State Police and members of the Eastern Panhandle Violent Crimes Task Force arrested four men Thursday for solicitation of prostitution during a sting operation at the Super 8 motel on Edwin Miller Boulevard in Martinsburg.

Seventeen general contractors attended a mandatory pre-bid conference for a new recreation center set to be built near Inwood, and that's potentially good news for the project's construction schedule, according to Martinsburg-Berkeley County Parks and Recreation Board Executive Director Steve Catlett.

Man charged in fatal accident fa...

A Maryland man accused of causing a fatal motorcycle accident in Berkeley County last year that resulted in the death of his passenger now faces possible indictment after a judge found Thursday there was sufficient probable cause to bound the case over to Berkeley County Circuit Court for possible review by a grand jury.
