A 56-year-old Glen Flora woman recently celebrated her birthday by teaming up with her son to combat police as they tried to arrest him at a tavern.

Two deputies were treated for minor injuries after one was punched and another was struck in the head while attempting to arrest a man at an Ingram bar Saturday evening, according to the Rusk County Sheriff's Dept.

Ingram Days gets under way this weekend, featuring softball, volleyball, an ATV mud bog, horse shoe competition, kids games, pie and ice cream, barbecued chicken and a Sunday parade, among other activities.

Two more men are charged in connection with last fall's bank robbery in Ridgeland.
