Have you driven around town lately? The streets are horrible, no crosswalks or lane striping, tall weeds line the roads. Numerous vacant buildings and homes. Are you serious? Take a drive and look around. The entire town needs "renovated."

The Fair Board spent the money on the fairgrounds not the city itself......

The roads in this town are HORRIBLE, no lie. So is everything else. I'm embarrassed to have moved to this town, Ive been here for 4 years. I moved from a town with about the same population. Ive never seen a town so pitiful as Coffeyville. I am moving AS SOON as my job lets me.

If you don't like Coffeyville go back to where you came from. Coffeyville really don't want you if you are not happy here

Yes, I have ..weekly as a matter of fact. I enjoy Coffeyville. I was born and raised there and very proud to call it home. If anyone does not like it there ...get out!!!! There are plenty of people who lost their home in the flood that would gladly move back to town and take up residence at your house. If you are not happy ...only you can change that. A town can not make people happy you have to make it work for you. Whiner!!! Some people are not as fortunate as you are. Don't take it for granite ,you may be one of the unlucky ones next time. I lived it Norman , Oklahoma for years and their roads are no better than Coffeyville's.

GET THE F Out!!!!!! Someone who lost their home in the flood will glady move home and live at your house. Coffeyville does not need people like you moving into town with a negative attitude at a time of rebuilding with growth and new attitude for itself. Bye Bye.Don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya!

I think the City has a Department for that... it's called Public Service. Why should an individual be responsible for City Property? They can hardly maintain their own. Can you imagine the liabilty if someone were to get injured? I doubt the City wants people out with weed-eaters, tractors, chainsaws and other heavy equipment working on City streets, buildings and other dwellings.

As a long time resident I mourn the town that used to be. Neat and attractive homes abounded. trash, weeds and other eyesores werent't tolerated. parking cars;dead or alive in one's yard were unheard of. people didn't always have money, but what they did invest was a little pride and sweat. I think the community in general is waiting for someone else to do the dirty work. it seems it is easier to dwell on the negatives whether real or exaggerated and look for someone else to hand off the blame.
The city government isn't the best either. I have not heard of any kind of vision regarding the future. There must be a plan. If there isn't we need to devise one. Treading water waiting for sunny days isn't the answer. You want to fix the streets and other bits of crumbling infrastructure? It's gonna cost money folks. tax revenue is only so much of the puzzle. Are there not grants, both state and federal to be had? If you want to increase revenue, then figure out a plan to make it worth moving here. More citizens equal a broader and more profitable tax base. we have a fine school system and recreational opportunities. Lets build upon those positives. lets create a unified vision of what we want our town to be and get busy making it happen.

Duh,I am talking about picking up trash and picking up weeds , not actually working on buildings etc. I am talking about just keeping the city clean.Use your common sense.

I'd like Coffeyville better if it wasn't so smelly! It always smells like someone ate a hard boiled egg, and gassed!

If the people of coffeyville want our town to look better it has to start with ourselves, stop throwing trash out the car windows cause its more convenant then to wait until you get home , mow your grass before it gets out of control trim while your mowing, vote to have the trash dumpster put back in the alleys .It's our town we have to start with what we have and keep it up together.!!
