A passer-by saw fire on the porch of the two-story home at 41662 Route 27 in Hydetown at 6:32 a.m., emergency dispatchers said.

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash this afternoon on Route 8, just south of Hydetown, in Crawford County.

Police accuse Jeffrey S. Roydes, 30, of fleeing from officers who attempted to stop his vehicle in Titusville at about 6:20 p.m. Police said the chase traveled through neighboring Hydetown and onto Route 8 before Roydes was stopped and taken into custody at about 6:30 p.m. Roydes was arraigned before Titusville District Judge Amy Nicols on charges ... A funeral mass for Walter M. McGraw, 88, formerly of Tidioute, who died Monday, June 20, 2011 at the Warren Manor, was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday morning in Saint Johns Roman Catholic Church, Tidioute, with Father Joseph Czarkowski officiating.
