A man died Saturday in a residential fire at 24465 Singing Waterfall Road in the Tangipahoa Parish community of Husser, Fire Marshal Butch Browning said in a news release.

Drunken driver gets 12 years in SLU students' deaths

A 23-year-old Hammond man was sentenced Tuesday to 12 years in prison for driving drunk and plowing into a group of Southeastern Louisiana University students and former students, killing three and injuring two others just off the campus late one night in 2009.
