Huntsville police defend racial disparity in traffic tickets

What a shock to my yankee soul to learn the Jim Crow is alive and well in Huntsville, AL!!!

of course it's racial. The Huntsville Police spend every day ignoring crime and conspiring to give African Americans traffic tickets. You have to have done something to get a traffic ticket, they don't just pull you over in this day and age of lawsuits and such to risk their career on a stupid traffic ticket.
I'd be willing to bet the largest part of these "racial tickets" are for no driver's license and insurance. I personally have been involved in 2 accidents in Huntsville in the last 20 yrs. both times the other driver was at fault and had no insurance. Both drivers were African Americans.
Pay the fine and find something else toi cry about.

Rocketlamb your sarcasm is properly noted as I'm sure you thought it was funny to respond without a second rational thought. You assume the tickets aren't racially motivated and the African Americans assume that they are, who is right? Well, lets look at the statistics that authority figures use most often against the black community and other minorites to justify their reasoning for the apparent unequal treatment of blacks. The racial breakdown of Huntsville is like 65% white and 31% black so why not use these statistics to evaluate the unusual 2:1 ticketing of blacks to whites? Also, why do African Americans have to always prove themselves even when there is evidence that they are victimized. You must truly believe that the white race is superior all the way around to justify that African Americans must just be doing something wrong to get stopped. Something more wrong than white people? Give me a break man, the one thing for sure that sets them apart is skin color. I really wish we could get a group of educated white and blacks together and form some type medium to allows both sides to try and bridge our racial differences. Racial tension is flaring up again and because we have an African American President--that's too bad. We had come such a long way :)

I've seen several of Brad's responses on TOPIX. They are all the same, racist and bigoted. It's always whitey's fault. It must be miserable to hate your own people so much, too go through every day thinking you aren't able to compete with the other children, being told by the Democrats and Liberals that you aren't good enough, that you will always need help from whitey in some form or fashion. I do feel sorry for the little racist.
