HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- About 100 customers on 10th Street, 8th Avenue and 9th Avenue in Huntington will have their water service disrupted Friday while West Virginia American Water crews replace a valve.

The Cabell-Huntington Convention and Visitors Bureau has announced the following events will be held Thursday as part of West Virginia's 150th birthday celebration: West Virginia Day/Happy 150th West Virginia: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Interstate 64 East Welcome Center at mile marker 10, Huntington, with cupcakes, refreshments and giveaways.
