A Ferndale man is in custody after a high-speed pursuit and a short foot chase from Humboldt Hill into Eureka on Monday evening.

Humboldt County's housing element is once again off to the state Department of Housing and Community Development for certification, following unanimous approval Tuesday by the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors.
