The unofficial beginning of summer kicks off this weekend, but the Memorial Day holiday weekend is more than just parades, partying at backyard cookouts or playing Frisbee on a beach.

Many of my sophomores are in driver's license mode. They're either in countdown till the day they can apply for that permit, have their permit and are begging to drive, or have just passed their test and come into my classroom waving their new passport to freedom.

Between March 27 and April 4, Trevose troopers responded to the following incidents: On March 27 at 8:33 a.m., state police responded to a hit-and-run accident on I-95 northbound at milepost 33.7 in Bensalem.
