In a regular meeting of the Cedar Falls Board of Education on Thursday, members voted to accept a bid for work they hope will solve the problem of a lingering foul odor in several Orchard Hill Elementary School classrooms.

The nine-year-old member of the Waterhawks Ski Team was hit by a boat on Eagle Lake in Evansdale last August.

Emergency crews from Hudson were called to the area of Hudson Road and W Shaulis Road just after 4 p.m. Friday.

William J. Soska, 89 of Reinbeck, Iowa passed away on Friday, April 27, 2012 at Parkview Manor Nursing Home in Reinbeck, while under the care of Cedar Valley Hospice.

Sue Hayek, head camp counselor will retire on May 4 from the 4th grade camp and also from Reinbeck Elementary at the end of the school year.
