Fire crews say it was a volunteer firefighter who happened to be in the right place at the right time saved a teenager's life yesterday.

Allegan County authorities are apparently preparing to file charges against an unnamed 39-year-old Dorr man who remains hospitalized after his snowmobile crashed in a wooded area west of Hopkins on Sunday afternoon.

Jim Bard was driving east on 130th Avenue a couple miles northeast of the village of Hopkins when he saw a vehicle approaching him in the distance wobble, flip and disappear from his view.

HOPKINS, Mich. - A car driven by a Hopkins High School senior ended up in the river in town Monday afternoon, and passersby and authorities helped get her out of the car.
