David Fletcher Corrington passed away on May 9, 2012 in Fortuna, California. He was born on July 5, 1920 to Stephen and May Corrington in San Francisco and grew up in Saratoga.

The Lost Coast of Humboldt County may be a rugged and lonely stretch of beachfront property that one can only reach by a winding and turning two-lane road, but at one time the communities of Petrolia, Cape Town, Honeydew, and Mattole were thriving, if somewhat remote, hubs of activity in this part of northern California.
