Riverdale High to host 32nd Marching Competition
The Riverdale High School Band and band boosters will present the 32nd Annual Division I State Marching Band Championship on November 7. Twenty-seven bands from across the state will compete for the a oeGovernors Cup,a presented annually to the best Division I marching band in the State of Tennessee.

Bank robber sentenced to 27 years
Edward Tharpe, 50, of Martin, was sentenced Thursday in U.S. District Court in Jackson for his role in the bank robbery of Regions Bank in Martin, according to a news release today.
