This man started the Highland Police Explorer Post 95. It was a highlights of mine and a few hundred other teens who learned from Chief Pierce that to be a great leader you had to be willing to be a servant to all.I am so proud to have known him.

I imagine him at peace now with his sweet wife Peg and their spoiled little dog that loved twinkies. He and his wife were such a force for good in the city.

RIP chief, He was a great man! I never relized he was in his 70s.... He did alot when he was in uniform around here, To bad after he left and the Joe saga started ;this place went to hell in a hand basket!! We could use some of his wisdom today....

I worked for this man from 1986 to the day he left, 12 years later. You can not have found a better leader. He loved this city, its people and the interactions he had ever day. He would yell at you out one minute, if you did something wrong and buy you a soda the next. He made you want to work for him. This city and Law enforcement has lost a great man. Rest In Peace,CHIEF.
