• Can he stand up to commissioners? • Can he get things done without crying That's Racial? • Do you really care if he's black, tan, yellow or whatever as long as your fires get handled? ©2009 Recordo |

1 1. Do they put the citizens ahead of their business partners? 2. Are they self serving ? 3. Are they running the city correctly, public transporatation ,infasctructure, etc? And a whole list of other questions . The REAL answer would be that they hold office only due to being Cuban. BTW the answer to those 3 questions if your objective with the Miami Cuban politicians is 1- NO 2- YES 3- NO Do they care and is being Cuban sufficient to stay in office? NO and YES |

1 No argument from here. But how is that any different from historically ethnic control of other American cities? Chicago's Irish hegemony, Boston's, New York City's... The rule is "We take care of our own." (Because that's how we got here, and here is where we're staying.) Miami is a Cuban city. My argument on their behalf is that at least they got something done. Their argument is that they were selected by God for this owing to their natural racial superiority. If the Fed had been in control from the 1960s onward, we'd probably have a much more racially divided town with the local black community trying to make do with a tiny federal budget but with the same exact patterns of corruption. Me first, then my people, then... That's the nature of local government. It reflects community interests, not necessarily justice or, God forbid, fairness. At the end of the day, ask yourself why politicians characteristically steal. The only answer: Because they can. Miami's schools are among the worst in the country because they won't spend anything to improve them.(Ahem, we need more testing.) But we're getting a new multi-billion dollar stadium for the Dolphins; a ridiculous tunnel is going to be dug to the Port of Miami, the cops continue to get theirs and yes, you have to be Cuban to get onto any line. Who is protesting any of that? The Miami Herald certainly won't dare to print anything negative. Miami's importance as a market keeps the TV reporters quiet and respectful. The collosal duplicity of the new sports stadium has to be a world record in graft and outright theft, but the bond issues get signed and the money flows. |

See RATardo, this time I even agree with some parts of your comment, but let's study with more details your following words and I quote you " Their argument is that they were selected by God for this owing (To take Miami)to their natural racial superiority".I don't think all Cubans believe like that, but I know about someones that truly believed that and even almost took a whole Continent(Not just a city like we Cubans are blamed for) for themselves based on that belief. You must be guessing who they were...right 'RATordo'.? Well, let's read about American History's 'Manifest Destiny' now!. Weird isn't it? As you can see my dear 'RATordo',it is very hard to lie or to be selective,or even to do some bullshitng to blame Cubans on everything when any of us happen to be around. We Cubans are not your typical ignorant latino, who will bow his head down and accept your bullshitting,we are smart and educated people that know about History and who sure know how to made ourselves to be respected!!Sad for those Cubans haters...isn't?See you my friend! I bet you must be saying ow "Damn witty Cuban..he mades us look like idiots again". We trly love you Americans, but to get and to keep our respects you MUST respects us too. Fair enough isn't it? Manifest Destiny From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Jump to: navigation, search For other uses, see Manifest Destiny (disambiguation). This painting (circa 1872) by John Gast called American Progress, is an allegorical representation of Manifest Destiny. Here Columbia, intended as a personification of the United States, leads civilization westward with American settlers, stringing telegraph wire as she travels; she holds a school book. The different economic activities of the pioneers are highlighted and, especially, the changing forms of transportation. The Native Americans and wild animals flee.Manifest Destiny is a term that was used in the 19th century to designate the belief that the United States was destined, even divinely ordained,[1] to expand across the North American continent, from the Atlantic seaboard to the Pacific Ocean. Sometimes Manifest Destiny was interpreted so broadly as to include the eventual absorption of all North America: Canada, Mexico, Cuba and Central America. Advocates of Manifest Destiny believed that expansion was not only ethical but that it was readily apparent ("manifest") and inexorable ("destiny"). |

Didn't Nostradamus once say that "The chances of Miami White Cubans who control politics ever voting for a Black Cuban for office like Mayor or higher office are zero."

They don't call Miami the Cuban "Cosa Nostra" for nothing. I am shocked that Non Cubans are allowed to vote and none fascist aren't arrested and improsined much like the Batista style that MANY Cubans here embrace. ---------- I do disagree a bit with this - "But how is that any different from historically ethnic control of other American cities? Chicago's Irish hegemony, Boston's, New York City's... The rule is "We take care of our own." Because the above cities have a social consciousness UNLIKE the mostly self serving Miami Cuban power brokers, politician ,etc AND they DO NOT take care of other Cubans they suck their money for personal gain. While making social cut backs for elderly, disabled, working poor Cubans. Again in the old Batista style MANY here embrace. Some Hispanics even Cubans from those cities say "If you don't believe in Chupacabra's , you will when you live under Miami's Cuban politicians". I now believe in Chupacabras. |
