Please Melissa Pinion-Whitt get it right this man was not exonerated but granted new trial due to some trumped up evidence ny the innocence project's attorney's. The prosecutors are appealing the decision. This man brutally merdered his wife.

I don't know if he did it and I doubt you do either, unless you were there when the killing was done and saw it taking place. I have pretty strong doubts about your bias when you call the Innocence Project's evidence trumped up. They have an excellent record of going to court with actual evidence. You know things like DNA test results, witnesses, and to get a new trial the evidence has to be pretty strong. Judges don't just say "you want a new trial, fine." I will agree in that the article doesn't mention on what basis the new trial was ordered. Sort of vague there.

I looked up the evidence the innocence project had in the Richards case, as I suspected there was DNA evidence which contradicted the prosecution case, The Bite mark which was used at trial has been determined by experts, including experts used by the prosecution at the trial not to be a bite mark at all, and the fiber evidence presented at the trial seems to have been a product of mishandleing the evidence. As to his guilt or innocence I don't know but it does look like there is actual evidence sufficient to warrent a new trial. When the prosecution witnesses are saying the evidence they gave in court is incorrect I would say there is reason to look into it.

The court REVERSED his conviction--a prerequisite to a new trial, otherwise double jeopardy would not allow a second attempt at prosecution. He was not exonerated.Melissa Pinion-Whitt got it right.

With all the federal oversight of the Calif. prison system's medical treatment of inmtes, it is hard to believe he's not getting proper treatment for his cancer issue ( which would not be sufficient reason to release his anyway).

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Capricorn

You'll have difficulty finding equilibrium in your emotional life at the moment; try to control the impulsive side of your character. At work, your usual powers of intuition will be clouded. Fits of feverishness may bother you and break down your energy. If you can get out into the countryside for a walk, you'll feel much better.
