Picking through pieces of the past

Not all sunken treasures are made of silver and gold. Combing the waters Wednesday at the mouth of the Weeki Wachee River in Bayport, local divers picked out small pieces of history that archeologists are working to preserve - bits of iron and other materials that could be remnants of a Civil War-era ship that burned more than 200 years ago.
