For many of the hundreds of mourners who bid farewell this week to Monsignor Joseph Tash, the sense of loss was deeply personal.

The Portal to Texas History has quite a few photos of the city of Hereford, Texas, particularly of the fire equipment used there, including these shots, taken in 1958 , when Hereford's Fire Department was housed within city hall, and again in 1971 , a couple years after the department got a place of its own.

The saddle was presented to Former President George W. Bush by AQHA Executive Vice President Don Treadway Jr.; Ryan Norton, son of Julie Norton; Richard Oliver of Amarillo, who designed and built the saddle; AQHA Second Vice President Johnny Trotter and his wife, Jana, of Hereford, Texas.
The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 9 a.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. today: a EDDIE GLENN OVERTON, 20, of 1408 E. Sixth St., was arrested Sunday on charges of consumption of alcohol by a minor, evading arrest or detention and public intoxication.
