Thanks Steve for putting yourself on the line. Vallejo is heading toward a time when a silent, unseen vigillante force will do what the courts and the police have been unable to do. Many of these easily identified sociopaths have no moral right to a court trial and need to be eliminated now. Way past time to sweep the streets of the trash. Instead of decent citizens fearing this garbage, let's put the fear into these violent animals. It's not too difficult to tell who needs to be made an example of. I'd like to see a few heads stuck on pikes around City hall; rehabilitation, forgiveness, light sentencing have proven to be failures. If you're a cockroach you need to be stepped on.

Thank you for all you do.
Vallejo has a lot of potential if we all do our bit.
It does not have to get worse. Actually the forclosures have moved out a lot of the riff raff in my section.

Good for these neighbors to get the heritage neighborhood council to becoming relevant again. For too long the few people who were on that council were nothing but trouble and interested in their own agendas rather than improving our neighborhood. Where do I sign up?

I hear some of those same people are still in the picture. HNC is welcomed back but please be careful of who you elect as your leader - don't make the same mistake twice or the organization will disolve again...

mookie I believe the correct term you are looking for is "wookie." And yes Steve being in vallejo often does feel like you are on Safari and I sometimes feel like I should bring my passport with me on outings into the city. "look honey it's the great urban ghetto sloth. Look at him saunter across the street because he doesn't have a job because he gets state assistance. Oh look here comes baby momma sloth and her eighteen children who won't make it through the public education system." Yes Steve it is a jungle out there be careful.

What makes you think you have the right to take what the majority of us get up at the crack of dawn, sit in traffice, work 10-12 hrs a day, come home take care of our children and our homes.....

I really would like to understand why, please explain!

Mookie and V-Town G are probably some old, fat- bellied guys attempting to create more divisions in our our already polarized community. Wanglow, you need to stop selling Wolf Tickets. Talk like yours will only get innocent people hurt - or worse. Go get professional help loser - better yet, go find someone to love.

quit your whining and help out. Your city leaders have really screwed up this city. If you can't protect your own streets, then get down to the Tuesday night city council meetings and start protesting. Make as much noise as you can at the meetings. Send the city council a message to get off their fat a s s es and do the right thing. Stop wasting millions of tax dollars and stop losing so many cops.

The idea here is to try and work together so could you please stop taking cheap shots at people you had problems with in the past. It does not help...

You know Troll, that's not a bad idea. I wonder of the dopes on our city council would get a better understanding of priorities if about a THOUSAND citizens decended on their holy chambers one tuesday night and said in a LOUD voice "We've had enough and we're not going to take it anymore"! Enough screwing around with valid, signed union contracts; stop screwing our town into the dirt. Stop all this 'affordable" housing crap, cut welfare and section 8 to the bone and take the money and hire a hundred new cops. Just listen to your scanner; these guys are almost overwhelmed at times with the ever-growing criminal element. This poor excuse for a newspaper does not report a tenth of the riots, violence and intimidation that goes on in Vallejo. Will someone take up the banner? Let's plan a THOUSAND-CITIZEN MARCH on city hall. Set a date in the future and I'll be there.

What helps if when people recognize who is a good leader and who is not. There were some past board members that weere not good leaders. "Trying to work together" when you've got terrible leaders is an exercize in futility. It's never good to prop up a bad leader and it seems to be the endemic problem of Vallejo: just look at some of the council members present and past.

I agree with you. United we stand and divided we'll fall. My wife and I were two year members of the old Heritage group. I didn't find any of them self serving. I think everyone has an "agenda" however for the most part, we kept it all in prospective. What actions we took we hoped would benefit us all. Not just one! For those who try to intimidate by the computer or their actual criminal acts (If They Are For Real), bring it on! I would assume you wouldn't be intimidated by one. However as a orgainized group we are just as powerful. Take a stand and make Vallejo a better place to live. You are a loser if you really feel that you are. I for one have hope for Vallejo and think it can be a better place if we all work together. Getting this group back together is a start in the right direction!

this is why nothing is going to happen anytime soon. the council is not motivated to act with a mostly empty chamber at the meetings. even the vib regulars have dropped off.
