A theme of social tolerance!!! Oh, the horror!! Quick... run and hide the children. Cover their eyes and ears. We can't have them learning or seeing a theme of social tolerance!!
How many times have we witnessed the youth of today acting more wise and mature than their adult counterparts??

So, of course, since they object, everyone else should be excluded from participating. Everybody's out of step but the bigots!

Are these parents serious or just crazed nutjobs??? If they don't like the content...then don't let their kids perform there and find some local theatre where their kids can act.(Although they might actually LEARN something if they actually WATCHED one or both of these plays...I'm sure their children couldn't care less about the gay characters unless they are already brainwashed by their bigoted parents.)
Compairing it to television: If there is a show on where the parents don't like the content...CHANGE THE CHANNEL OR SHUT IT OFF! You wouldn't tell the network not to play it anymore. If the show is a hit...it's a hit, and they would have no intention of taking it off the air.(Sopranos for example)

Aren't the parents afraid that if they let their children act, that they'll all go homo? Isn't that the current nutjob line?

Um, if the parents are so homophobic then WTF do they want their kids in theater for anyways? 90% of the guys doing theater are homosexual.

Tell the boys to go play football without a helmut, and tell the girls not to wast their time joining any school sports team because they can't get a career doing that.

Their true intent is to stop these plays from being produced at their school. They are teaching their children to lie and deceive and they are using them as pawns to achieve their ends.

Some parents need to go back to school to get a proper education. I grew up in a conservative suburban area in the Midwest. My high school presented some plays that could be considered controversial. Nobody complained. If some parents didn't like a play, they didn't allow their children to be in it or even watch it. Nobody tried to prevent other students from participating or viewing the plays. Students, who wanted to be in the play, had the right and were able to perform.

In today's America, people are selfish. "I have the right to take away your rights." So, they don't want their kids in the play, nobody's kids can be in the play, either.

It was easier for these parents to stop the plays than it was to tell their 'holier than thou' children "NO".

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Taurus

As Mars turns retro, emotional tension makes you feel as though you're walking on eggshells. The temperature has risen by several notches, making the situation at home more fraught. Better to clear the air quickly and cleanly than to sulk and brood in ways that simply prolong the agony.
