A flood watch was expected to last from Tuesday morning until Wednesday afternoon, as heavy rain looked to be developing across portions of southwest Washington and northwest Oregon.

The City of Salem Public Works Department received about 30 calls about high-water from residents Tuesday morning, according to Mike Gotterba, spokesman for the city.
