Friends, Sue Anderson, Denis Butler, Linda Johnson and Ruth Kruger sent in the nomination for Sonja to be named citizen of the Year.

It's been many years since Hayfield had an active AFS chapter, which works to bring foreign exchange students into community schools.

Dani Wagner led Hayfield in scoring with 13 points. Abby Pollock added 10; Alyssa Selk finished with 6; Abby Blanchard had four; Jessie Foster scored three, and Meg Tapp added two.

In a last minute agenda addition, a discussion of the possibility of implementing an all day-every day kindergarten program for the 2012-2013 school year was added.

Hayfield's wrestling season has gotten busier since the start of 2012. They hosted K-W on Tuesday and then traveled to Mazeppa on Thursday for a triangular with Z-M and Triton.
