Time has a way of changing attitudes -- and while Macon and Bibb County have been trying to merge for more than 90 years -- there are other Middle Georgia communities that are attempting the feat.

Although Macon and Bibb County are the two most prominent Middle Georgia governments considering consolidation, they aren’t the only ones examining a possible merger.

The PLAN group broke up into committees Saturday afternoon, including the Community Development Committee, which was facilitated by Sharon Dawson from the Middle Georgia Regional Commission.
