Hawaii County police have charged a 68-year-old Hilo man in connection with a gunshot that shattered the window of a passing van containing six members of a Volcano family Tuesday in the Hawaiian Acres subdivision.

Police arrested two men in Puna Tuesday in connection with a gunshot that shattered the window of a van occupied by a family of six.

A trip to scout out potential homes to buy in the Hawaiian Acres subdivision on the Big Island ended with a shattered window and multiple gunshot holes in a family van.
