A woman left the Haven Acres Community Center with an armful of styrofoam plates, full of food, and she yelled back at the volunteers, "Thank y'all!" That spirit of thankfulness was in both Haven Acres and in Shannon, where programs and meals took place to bring the community together to celebrate Thanksgiving.

Firefighters spent at least half an hour fighting a fire at 3091 Moore Ave. in Haven Acres tonight.

Over the past month Narcotic Agents worked with officers of the Tupelo Police Department's Street Crime Unit, K-9 division, and patrol officers in an effort to identify and investigate suspects who were involved in illegal drug activity on the streets of Tupelo.

Members of the Tupelo City Council vote on Monday night at Tupelo City Hall to table the Tupelo Neighborhood Reinvestment Plan until a later date.
