Full story: Las Cruces Sun-News

There is separate funding set up especially for the convention center. Even if the City Council wanted to, they could not spend that money on sending veterans to Washington, D.C. or money on those boys and girls clubs.

"This guy named Lynn Nusom was showing pictures of burritos in color in the Las Cruces Sun-News, calling them wraps. That's pathetic, they're burritos."

Not to him.

"At numerous meetings, disgraced judge and former County Commissioner Carlos Garza, and county staff, told the people of Vado that the sewer plant would not smell. They lied. Come and check it out for yourself. "

The plant does not smell. It cannot smell, because it has no nose, is not an animal or even a living thing. I imagine that it may stink from time to time, but it cannot ever smell. Only living creatures can smell. Smell is one of the five senses.

"County and City need to get codes enforcement out, and the animal control jurisdictional over at the bridge in West Picacho. There is still a dead road-kill skunk no doubt. It's been there for two days."

Are you sure it's a skunk and not an Obamite? They are both foully odoriferous.

You are so uneducated.

Who cares? This is an award from that has also been given to Al Gore and Yasser Arafat. It's totally irrelevant.

I'm sure you were equally supportive of Obama's predecessor, right? I think you inadvertently defeated your own point. It's never about the United States, it's always about Obama. Read the transcript of the speeches made by Mr. and Mrs. Obama. 70 of 89 sentences contained the words I, me, or my.

The nominations closed for the Nobel Peace Prize TWO WEEKS after he was elected president. The other two U.S. sitting presidents who won the award were in their second term. Pres. Theodore Roosevelt drew up the 1905 peace treaty between Russia and Japan, and Pres. Woodrow Wilson founded the League of Nations. Of course, those minor accomplishments do not compare to the vast accomplishments of The Chosen One. In fact, why don't you Obama disciples educate us on all those specific, tangible accomplishments?

This should make his decisions on Afghanistan and Iran -- if he ever makes them -- interesting.

Thanks for proving the other commenter's point, even if they were being overly obnoxious in pointing out the obvious to all twelve of us here who know better. Did you not get the memo that this individual, along with a few others, like Sarcastic Bomb and Jim and Doc Hayes like to point out other peoples' mistakes? I think they think it's a game to see who gets the most jabs in.

The word smell is a noun and not a verb. I guess you are the uneducated one after all.

I will have to agree with America First. I'm not sure how Obama's award (and the $1.4 million) helps Americans. Our dollar is sinking fast, debt is rising geometrically, and the government is trying to take over more and more of our choices.
I really don't care about Democrat or Republican labels. We're all supposed to be Americans first above political party. It is a little confusing why Obama is given all this recognition for numerous "accomplishments" when there are so many others more deserving.

Obama has done nothing to deserve this prize except move this country closer to Socialism, which I am sure is why the Europeans are so in love with him.

I agree with you. I admit I was upset on Tuesday, but I got over it. It is not like this is going to happen all the time. I am going to be one of those people that 'may or may not' get caught in the traffic jam leaving WSMR, but i know what is in store and i have planned for it. I have baught an audio book and will be taking plenty of water to drink with me in my car. I plan on having a nice drive. I am going to call the up-coming traffic jam my "ME TIME".

Check this out, the World Monuments Fund:

http://www.wmf.org/

They look at what they consider to be great monuments of the world and assess how politics, climate and even tourism degrades them in an effort to preserve historically and culturally important places around the world. Some really cool pictures and ideas on places to go see.

Exactly, he hasn't done jack squat, other than put our country into debt like never before. He hasn't done anything to spread peace to deserve the peace prize!! It's all because he is the first black president. Big deal!!! It should matter the race but rather to what efforts and accomplishments they have done while in the office!!

I guess we are still in the ME GENERATION....ME, MYSELF and I. Feel like you don't count anymore???? It would be nice to have some togetherness with our President and (WE THE PEOPLE) NOT FEEL LIKE WE ARE TO STUPID TO BE COUNTED or are we here to just pay higher taxes. I'm counting on mid term elections to set things right with (WE THE PEOPLE).

Daily Horoscope for January 2

Scorpio

Something about your personality or appearance is drawing a lot of attention today, Scorpio. People insist on watching when you'd rather that they minded their own business. Your stubborn streak at a time when flexibility would be easier. Be kind to those with long memories, especially if you think you might run into them again at some point in your life. If you can't think of anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
