Hall signs inmate contract
Hartselle Mayor Don Hall has signed a contract with the Morgan County Commission and the Morgan County Sheriff's Department to house city inmates at the Morgan County Jail and allow the city to close its jail.

Drugs found in Hartselle man's car during stop
Two Hartselle men are in custody after officers found drugs in their car during a stop for a traffic violation April 12. The driver, Corey Van Hart, 34, of 2208 Indian Hills Road #A,was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, multiple lanes/improper lane change and driving while revoked.

German exchange students share impressions about visit
"Very nice" are words German Exchange student Colin Maseman used to describe his first impression of Hartselle, after arriving with 23 classmates and two chaperones for a 13-day visit April 2.
