Let's see here.... Best Buy, Radio Shack, Dunkin Donuts, Maple Donuts, Aeropostale, EBGames, and many more don't stock the American flag. I suppose we should boycott all those stores, too.

Why is this even a news story? I wonder if those who have a gripe with stores not carrying the flag are even flying them properly at home?

Freedom? Forcing store owners to stock this? We need to write a piece of legislation that requires all stores to stock the flag. That way, the Republicans, who presumably want government out of people's lives, can impose it on those who don't believe the way they do. Freedom? Sounds very much like Taliban-like behavior to me.

I think there is a registry of amish people. To get their benefits you have to be on the list. I don't think you can start your own religion and get the same benefits. I know cult leaders have tried in the past and failed. The amish are grandfathered in because they have been here so long.

who cares if they sell flags? Anyone so upset by this should be out trying to make our country a better place instead of whining about a store.

They have a prepared written statement under the counter outlining their beliefs and reason for not selling the flags. If you ask about buying a flag they will just hand you a statement. The women that handed me my statement was very courteous.

I don't believe the Amish have any symbols including religious ones. They pay school taxes even though their children do not go to public schools. Then they have to pay for their own schools. They pay income and property taxes. I think that if they don't pay into SSI they also do not claim against SSI. They take care of their elderly themselves. I have a son in the military and those Amish that I have told always say may God watch over him. Not selling the flag is not a big deal, save your energy for those Americans that burn the flag, hang it upside down and ridicule our military.

Your argument is stupid. The store in the article is a general store and would traditionally sell flags but electronics and food and clothing stores don't typically sell flags.

If you're going to spend time writing a comment, at least have it make some sense.

If it offends someone that they don't sell flags, then take your business elsewhere and put your money where your mouth is.
