So when are the legislators going to come together on some other issues like term limits, salary caps, looking at the 'corrupt' Gaming Commision...etc...

You mean to tell me, Democrats have nothing else to do but lead a rally for DOGS?
Come on get these guys out of office.
This is why I'm not a democrat.

Dog Law is trying to get changes made to address puppy mill issues. It has been a hot topic for the last 2 years with the Governor pushing for the legislative changes to improve the life and welfare of the thousands of dogs kept for breeding and their puppies. Mainly in the Lancaster area.

What's wrong with having a rally for dogs?

From what I've seen, they deserve more consideration than several groups who receive special attention.

Doggone cat people, trying to corrupt the system!

Dogs are great but there are people in PA and throughout the US facing issues that affect their jobs, finding a place to live, paying their heating bills from last winter, figuring out how to buy gas and deciding whether to try to buy food, healthcare or prescriptions.
Cowboy-up touched on the most important problem-term limits. Lets see, who would have to vote that into law--Oh yeah, all the multi-term politicians. It is not like it was envisioned by the founding fathers.

Ok, simple question, WHO FEEDS THE DOGS?
If a citizen owns a dog and the citizen can't buy food anylonger or have a home for the dog due to financial woes well now what are those Democrats going to do. Well I think they should provide food and shelter since they do the rallying.

I am not saying that things shouldn't be done about puppy mills, but let's get our priorities in order here.
Oh yeah I forgot to bring up the price gouging going on at the pumps too.

Common sense dictates that all problem issues be addressed. Isn’t that what the legislators are there for?

I was there. It is not about who's feeding what dogs. It is about being fair to reputable, humane breeders while eliminating inhumane breeding practices, all the while trying not to trample the rights of the people. No one asked you to like it, or help with it. We are doing just fine without you.

How about putting a bill out that requires CAT owners to buy a license every year like we dog owners are subjected to.

When CATS routinely attack and mangle people, then the bill we be in front of the legislators that requires cats to be licensed. When people need to worry about walking down the street, and being attacked, mangled and killed by a cat (not to mention rabies), then I am sure they will be required to be licensed. Until that time, I suggest you watch the Monty Phython skit about the license for his pet goldfish, as that is about as useful as a license for a cat.

Andy, why are cat owners less liable for damages done by their cats? It wans't my neighbors dogs who destroyed 20 of the 100 bulbs I just planted in my garden, or scratched $200 worth of damage into my brand new paint on my car, or sit up yowling all night. I've never been bitten by a dog, but was hospitalized by a cat bite. It isn't dogs that outnumber cats in the shelters by 4 to one. It wasn't dogs that overan a building in Chambersburg in the early 90's and were diagnosed as having a huge outbreak of rabies.

Cats are just as big a responsibility as dogs. Their owners should be glad to license them so they have proof that their cat isnt' the one causing problems.

Oh, and Andy...your goldfish isn't likely to take a dump in my kid's sandbox. That's kinda like apples and oranges there.
